SPRING OFFER - Pay for 4 session upfront and get the 5th one FREE!

27 April 12-4pm at the Positivity Centre, Nashdow Lane, Burnham, SL1 8NJ
£50 early bird by 15 April, £60 thereafter

This is the second in a series of five workshops, each one focusing on one of the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Come and join us for a fun, inspiring and revitalising afternoon tuning into the energy of Spring, Wood Element and learning how to energise your Liver and Gallbladder meridians.

Nature flows effortlessly through a cyclical seasonal rhythm (known as the Five Element cycle in Traditional Chinese Medicine) and so does the energy in our bodies and it affects every aspect of us physically, mentally and emotionally. If we are in tune with the Universal energy around us, we are living more in tune with nature and can maximise our health and wellbeing through every season.

Wood energy is the key to :

detoxifying your body
improving your eyesight
improving flexibility
strengthening your nails
relieving headaches and nausea
balancing your menstrual cycle and relieving PMT

We will be doing some lovely shiatsu bodywork, qi gong energy work and gentle stretches to get your energy zinging and ready for action !

You will learn acupressure points and exercises and Chinese medicine secrets to help balance your Wood energy. If the weather is good we will take a stroll into the woods and do some Tree Qigong. I’ve also invited Macrobiotic chef Jo-Ann Ramos to come and talk about which foods are beneficial in the Spring and she will show us a couple of delicious seasonal recipes.

Nature starts to burst to life with energy and new growth in Spring. Our bodies energy mirrors what’s happening in nature as it rises up and moves from within to the surface.
Now is the time to start putting plans into action !

A healthy liver is like a tender young tree that is green and flexible, yet firmly rooted in the earth. As it bends in the wind its movements are graceful and fluid, just like our body when in balance, with energy flowing smoothly and effortessly

When liver energy is stagnant we can become brittle, wooden and inflexible in both body and mind. Symptoms of imbalance include headaches, migraines, stiffness and tension in neck and shoulders, nausea, vomitting, PMT, vision disturbance, weak flaky nails. Emotional imbalances include anger, frustration, and indecision.

The workshop is led by highly experienced shiatsu therapist and bodyworker Fiona Carson, assisted by Macrobiotic chef and practitioner Jo-Ann Ramos.

Please wear something loose and comfortable. Light refreshments will be provided.
